Transport

Our services include nursing, social work, primary care, podiatry, lab work, mobile diagnostics, optometry, physical and occupational therapy, medication administration and management, and pharmacy services.

Most participants travel to and from the Center using SEPTA ParaTransit, MERCY, EXACT Care, Med Transit, and Rapid Transit.  Others are transported by their caregivers.  Staff assists families with completing required application for transportation.

Professional Services

Persons who enroll in the adult day center are older adults who are having difficulty managing everyday activities on their own.  Center participants need assistance to varying degrees with performing routine self-care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.) as well as home management (meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, bill paying, etc.).

The focus of the adult day center is on recreation and leisure through therapeutic recreation, music therapy, dance, and relaxation programs.  These programs are designed to improve and maintain well being.  The benefits of therapeutic recreation and music therapy include opportunities to increase mental and physical stimulation, peer interaction, self esteem and self worth, gain or rekindle past interests, and identify methods of self expression.  Our structured programs help to reduce anxiety and bring comfort through a sense of belonging.

Services, admissions, and referrals are provided and made without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, ancestry, religious creed, disability, age or sexual orientation.
